Steelers 2-Minute Drill: Five games following Monday Night Football make tonight critical

New, comments

The Pittsburgh Steelers' struggles against hapless teams have been well documented, but the Monday Night Football game against the Titans carries an enormous amount of significance based on what lies ahead.

Ed Mulholland-USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers travel to LP Field in Nashville to play the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football. Don't be upset if Steelers fans are a bit nervous heading into this game. After all, last week's loss to the New York Jets and previous blunders against sub-par teams have fans wondering which team will show up on a weekly basis.

On this edition of the Steelers 2-Minute Drill, editor of BTSC Neal Coolong talks about how the game against the Titans is more than just a confidence booster against a bad team, but a critical game in view of the team's five games remaining after the bye week.

The Steelers simply cannot afford another misstep if they expect to end the stretch of mediocrity this team has seen the past three seasons. Winning on the road in prime time will go a long way to help the Steelers' chances, not only within the AFC North, but also in their quest to make the postseason for the first time since 2011.
