Steelers vs. Titans second half open thread

It's tough not to say "here we go again..."

Don McPeak-USA TODAY Sports

The Steelers jumped ahead to a 10-point lead after a 49-yard field goal and a 28-yard interception return from William Gay, his second pick six of the 2014 season.

The Titans came back on impressive running from rookie Bishop Sankey along with a few actual pro-level throws from rookie Zach Mettenberger to bring it to 10-7. The Steelers moved to 13-7 on Sean Suisham's second field goal of the half as the Steelers' offense stalled a bit into the second quarer.

The defense got a stop, quieting the Titans' fluid offense with just a field goal. The Steelers couldn't capitalize, as Ben Roethlisberger made perhaps the poorest decision of the season on a 3rd and long pass in the red zone that was intercepted by cornerback Jason McCourty.

A frustrating run of plays was highlighted by Gay getting fried on a hook-and-go from ex-Steelers wide receiver Nate Washington on an 80-yard touchdown pass from Mettenberger.
